Substitute Positions
Substitutes participate and assist students during:
Do you have a strong desire to create a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities? Do you enjoy encouraging, supporting, and teaching others to achieve their goals? Then we want you to join our caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable staff!
Substitute teachers and aides support students with disabilities by working in multiple classrooms to plan, implement, and document students’ goals. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively with classroom teachers, aides, therapists, student aides and the aquatics specialist. Candidates need to be able to provide student personal care needs and manage behavioral issues with assistance from other staff.

Additional Info:
Substitute Teacher requires a bachelor’s degree in any field. Rate of pay is $17.00 per hour.
Substitute Aides must have a high school diploma. Rate of pay is $12.00 per hour.
Both teacher and aide positions must apply for an Ohio Department of Education Educational License/Aide Permit. More information will be given during interview.
Bus Drivers must have a valid Class B CDL driver’s license with school bus endorsement. Rate of pay is $17.07 per hour. WCBDD has a paid training program for candidates interested in obtaining this license. For more information, contact Transportation Supervisor, Matt Starkey, at 740.373.3781 Ext. 4011.
Nurse requires an LPN or RN certification. Rate of pay is $15.00 for LPN and $18.50 for RN.
